An independent body launched in March 2020 working to achieve accurate representation of all sections of society across contemporary UK media. It focuses on six action areas, including conducting research, tracking industry progress on diversity policy and data, and sharing best practice and research. Based at the Birmingham City Institute of Media and English.

Skin Deep

UK-based organisation of writers, filmmakers, editors and artists of colour with articles, videos, art and activism on race and culture.

'Skin Deep makes space for Black creatives and creatives of colour to work towards justice through cultural production. Through our live events, online platform and print magazine, we build capacity for artists and activists in London and globally to think beyond crisis and survival, and dream of just futures.'

Socio-Economic Diversity And Inclusion In The Arts

Comprehensive toolkit for all arts employers, with case studies, guidance and recommendations for best practice in advancing socio-economic diversity and social equality. Informed by learning from the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries programme which worked with 110 arts organisations for over a decade, and significant research produced by the Bridge Group.
