The stakes are higher when you are transparent. Make a commitment to publishing the results of your equity and inclusion evaluations each year.
Even if you are not proud of the results as they currently stand, publishing your data is an important indication that you’re not simply giving lip service to equity and inclusion. It shows existing and prospective employees, collaborators, audiences and funders that you are serious about improvement and holding your organisation to account.
How do I do it?
Once you have gathered data on the composition of your workforce, leadership and program, publish it in your annual report and on your website. Follow up with data for the following year to show your progress over time. Comparing your quantitative data over time is a powerful indicator of your progress against your goals.
