This article provides a snapshot summary of a recent survey done on the Australian publishing industry, following similar studies in the UK and USA.

Published on 31 August 2022, and featuring survey data from 989 respondents, the report contains demographic data on the makeup of the Australian publishing workforce. At time of publication, the industry has much work to do in reflecting Australia’s cultural and social diversity in its workforce.
