Diamond

A precise and standardised system for gathering, tracking and publishing diversity data on the UK screen sector, used by BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky. Diamond collects data about the gender; gender identity; age; ethnicity; sexual orientation and disability of people working on or off screen on all UK-originated productions using voluntary participant surveys.

Diversity Data

Each year the Arts Council England collects, analyses, reports and publishes data relating to equality and diversity of the work, organisations and projects they fund.

The 2018/19 report released in 2020 found 11% of works in the national portfolio organisations are from black and other minority ethnic backgrounds. That compares with 16% of the working-age population.

Gari Yala: Centreing the experiences of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians at work

Gari Yala, which means ‘speak the truth’ in the Wiradjuri language, is based on a survey 1,033 First Nations workers across Australia. The report reveals Indigenous employees continue to experience significant workplace racism and exclusion and that racism is impacting wellbeing and job satisfaction.

The report also provides 'ten truths' for organisations to improve workplace inclusion for Indigenous staff.
