What are we watching?

Going to see work that is performed by a broad range of actors can be an important way to widen your knowledge of the talent pool and draw up varied lists for casting.

We have created a simple table that companies and individuals can use to keep track of the work they are seeing.
During the Theatre Casting Toolkit’s development, we spoke to people involved in casting who said it can be easy to get into the habit of only seeing certain types of work, only going to shows they’ve been invited to, or only visiting familiar venues – especially when busy.

This table can be used to record what work you and your colleagues are seeing and identify any gaps which emerge. The table is formatted it as a Word document so you can customise it. Feel free to make it as complex or as simple as you like.
